This used Vega Banjos - Whyte#Laddie#Plectrum 5-String Conversion circa 1924 is a fantastic example of how a 5-string conversion can bring life to a vintage instrument. Originally built as a 4-string No. 2 Plectrum banjo, this White Laydie tone ring and 11 15/16" pot were converted to a 5-string by luthier W.A. Petersen around 2007. With a Maple pot, and Flamed Maple neck this skin head banjo is a wonderful frailing/clawhammer machine that we can't seem to put down. Included original Plectrum neck (see photos) and non-original Hardshell case. Serial# 57625
