This used OME North Star 11" Tubaphone is a stunning open-back banjo with vintage stylings and modern appointments. Featuring an 11" Claro#Walnut rim and neck with varnish#finish, and brass Tubaphone tone ring, this has a remarkable tone with a subtle darkness to it, all while maintaining a distinct, vintage brightness. This is in Near Mint condition with little playwear overall and is one helluva player.
This has a 25.5" scale length and 1.34" nut width. The scooped Ebony fingerboard has 17 nickel-silver frets, and is loaded with mother-of-pearl/abalone North Star-style inlays and fret spikes on the 7th and 9th frets. The heel is intricately carved, and the Rosewood armrest, tortoiseshell binding, and Amber tuners round out its killer appointments. A great-playing and -sounding banjo regardless of tuning, the OME North Star 11" Tubaphone is a stellar open-back banjo for any number of styles. Includes original hardshell case.
