American Banjo Museum, Oklahoma City
Pictures taken during a recent trip to the American Banjo Museum in Oklahoma City. First rate exhibits, displays, and, oh yeah, banjos. Lots and lots of banjos. About 170 years worth of 'em. Here's a few to whet your appetite.

You need to do an interview with Johnny Baier, the Executive Director of the American Banjo Museum. He knows everyone in the banjo world and is a terrific source of knowledge about the subject. In addition he is a great jazz banjoist and very knowledgeable about five string banjos.

Michael, you are 100% right on the mark.
We're planning on initiating an interview with Johnny in the very near future. We toured the museum a few weeks back and got a private tour from him. More folks need to know about the museum. It's a real treasure.

The Banjo Museum in Oklahoma City is incredible! I have been there several times and have met both Eddy Davis and Cynthia Sayer. These two people are an asset to the banjo world. These photos are excellent, but, if you have an opportunity to go there, you won't be disappointed.

No need for us to keep this a secret but we're working on a feature interview with Cynthia. No exact time frame but I think a publish date in May is likely.
If you haven't checked out our historical database you might enjoy what it has to offer about her.
