The Maryland Folk Musicians Retreat is back with a new location. This year the retreat will be held July 8-10 at the Riverside Retreat at Camp Pecometh in Centreville, MD.

Informal workshops on frailing banjo, tenor banjo, fiddle, guitar and other instruments with David Finch, Pat Costello and Patrick Costello. Brian Carver will be hosting a bajo building workshop during the event.

While we do have special guest instructors, the Maryland Folk Musicians Retreat does not have a set schedule. This is an informal gathering to share, learn and even just sit and play a few tunes by yourself in a beautiful setting.

We are really exited to have David Finch coming to the retreat this year. David invited Patrick and Amy to see him perform in Woody Sez when the show came through Washington DC. Patrick was impressed by Davids skill on stage, and even more impressed off stage at a jam session after the show.

The Riverside Retreat has double occupancy rooms with plenty of space for lessons, jamming and relaxing. Meals are prepared by an on-site chef and served in a very nice dining room. They can handle vegetarian or other special meal requirements and there is a twenty-four hour hot and cold beverage bar. The facility is new, clean and completely air conditioned.
