I've been asked to repair/refinish the back of this 1960's Fender Concert Tone for a friend. While I have built a handful of mandolins finished with NC lacquer, I have no experience getting the lacquer back off. Looks like mahogany and it is worn down to the wood. Any advise would be appreciated. The inlays look like they might want to come off with the finish...
The rest of the banjo is in similar shape-plating worn off, fingerboard wear spots filled with epoxy. The owner would just like the back to look better, not like new. Thanks !
